Provably Fair
Understand how game results are generated
Provably fair makes supported game outcomes mathematically verifiable. It uses cryptographic commitments and a reproducible calculation method, allowing you to check whether a recorded result matches the inputs used to generate it.
This page explains the process. Result verification takes place on an external website, separate from our platform.
How It Works
1A commitment is made before play
- Before a result is generated, the platform publishes a cryptographic commitment, usually a hash of a secret server seed. This creates a reference that can be checked later without revealing the secret input in advance.
2The inputs generate a result
- The server seed is combined with the inputs required by the game’s algorithm. These may include a client seed and a nonce—a counter that distinguishes individual bets or rounds.
- The algorithm processes these inputs and converts its output into a result according to the game’s mechanics.
3The verification data becomes available
- Once the secret seed is retired and revealed, the information needed to reproduce the result becomes available. The revealed seed can also be checked against the commitment published before play.
- The timing and required inputs depend on the game’s verification method.
4An external service checks the calculation
- Follow the verification link to an independent service. Using the original inputs and the appropriate algorithm, the service can reproduce the result for comparison with the recorded outcome.
- A complete check confirms both that the revealed seed matches the original commitment and that the calculated result matches the game record.
How It Works by Mechanic
Different mechanics turn cryptographic output into different types of results. The verification method must reproduce the conversion used by the specific game.
Verify independently
Verification is performed by an external service, separate from our platform. This allows you to check supported results using a tool that we do not operate.
What the verifier checks
- Seed commitment: whether the revealed server seed matches the hash published before play.
- Result calculation: whether the original inputs reproduce the recorded outcome using the correct game algorithm.
Depending on the mechanic, verification may require a revealed server seed, its original hash, a client seed, a nonce, and additional game settings.
Use the verification details associated with the original bet or round. Current account seeds or settings may differ from those used for a previous result.
